The only Queen concert in Norway ever. This is a highly enjoyable audience recording from Drammen, which is very near Oslo. The sound quality is amazing during most parts, but some parts are sounding a bit worse though. It is just not so stable throughout the whole recording. There are a few cuts here and there. Get Down Make Love, Brian's Solo, Save Me and Another One Bites The Dust are all having a slight cut. Otherwise complete. This was the third concert of the Hot Space Tour, so they still had to find the right setlist to play with. It has some nice surprises. The Guitar Solo right in the middle between Dragon Attack and Now I'm Here (Reprise), which is very rare. Also Liar was included in the setlist and unfortunately it was dropped during the second half of the European leg of the tour. Queen played a great performance and you can really hear that they were in a good mood. After Action This Day Freddie says ''That was a new song called Action This Day, and this is an old song called Play The Game.'' It is very nice to hear those new songs live on stage. Brian says before the start of Love Of My Life ''Thank you, it's great to be here in Norway after all this time, it's good to see you, feels good.'' This version comes from first generation cassette and then it was remastered by ''Stark''. No copy errors. Not from mp3.
Stark's comment:
I have corrected the equalization with Har-Bal, then applied high- and low-pass filters with a Waves Renaissance 2-band eq and brought back up to level (-0.2dB) with a Waves L3 limiter in Wavelab. No dynamic range has been lost, and there is a significant increase in the peak-to-average ratio. I have removed the digi-noise at the beginning (and end?) and created new fades. Where there were cuts in the audio I have crossfaded one piece into the next, leading to smoother (though not perfect) results. I have re-tracked the songs and corrected the balance between left and right channels. Very few eq boosts were used, and no denoisers.
